A - the first page of my new Abecedary

Thank you to Barbara at Artiphy the Heart for turning me on to Kelly Kilmer's new "class", Journey of You. I joined. I didnt make the new book structure or follow the prompts, but it was just the kick in the studio I needed to get back to work.

So, following Barbara's lead, I decided I would create an alphabet book of topics related to my life.

Regeneration

This is a piece that reflects on and celebrates the regeneration - reconnection to my childhood.  I have  found a friend I had as a child whom I have not seen or spoken to in 56 years.  She was kind enough to answer my email inquiry and now we are writing to each other every week.  Thank you Carolynne.

Gelatin printing - what fun!

This is the gelatin with only a light coat of paint left
I have been gelatin printing for the past two weeks and I really love this process.  It is often quite unpredictable. I am printing pages which I will then collage on top.

Kitchen Counter

This was done by altering the original color photo in Photoshop Elements - using Adjustment Layer, Threshold, then cropping the image and layering it on top of a previously painted background and then selecting Darken.
